Tiffany Haddish is the REAL DEAL! And if you don’t know, now you know.
If you haven’t seen the video of Tiffany Haddish on Jimmy Kimmel describing her swamp tour with Jada and Will, you need to watch it like yesterday. The video has already amassed over 18,000,00 views on Facebook and has many people wanting to be best friends with ‘Girls Trip‘ breakout star, Tiffany Haddish.
Honestly, I hate using the phrase breakout star because it sounds like the person came out of nowhere and just got lucky. The truth is that Haddish has been hustling and grinding in the industry for years, but let’s talk about why Haddish is so likable.
We’re used to seeing celebrities do their press tour to promote their latest project. They go on late night shows, morning shows, are featured in magazines and commercials, but we rarely feel connected with them. When Haddish stepped onto the Kimmel stage, there was something special about her. It’s like we were witnessing her MOMENT. If you’re out there chasing your dreams or have ever had a dream come true, you know what I’m talking about. It’s that moment of pure elation and joy because IT, whatever your IT is, is finally happening. She seems so grateful to see her hard work pay off, but there is more. There are plenty of celebs who make it, but they become a version of themselves that they think they should be because they are famous. However, Haddish has not changed who she is because she knows that being her authentic self will help her go further.
Why is it when celebrities reach the next level, they think they need to become something other than the person that got them to that level? Don’t get me wrong, there are certain traits that we may need to adjust as we navigate through our lives, but who we are at the core is what makes each and every one of us unique and special. I truly connect with people who are unapologetically authentic because that’s something that I want to be more of. I’m not talking about being rude or mean and saying well that’s just me. I’m just saying hone in on what makes you unique and special.
You attract what you put out! If you are so focused on putting out an image that you think people want or are looking for, you may actually be attracting the wrong things to your life. Think about that. Maybe if we all try to be more unapologetically authentic, we will start to see things happening in our lives that will get us closer to our MOMENT!
‘Girls Trip’ is in theaters now!
