Repeat these positive statements three times: I’m Grateful. Life Is Good. It Could Be Worse.
That’s it! Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Feel free to check out other positive…just kidding. Well, I’m partially joking because I tried this the other day and was blown away with the results. First and foremost, I’m not about to get all preachy and tell you how to live your life. Do you. Personally, I can complain and talk about everything going wrong in my life with the best of them. It feels so good just to release all the negative energy to a willing ear. However, be careful what you release because your words and energy hold way more power than you think.
There’s been so many times that I’ve been told my energy can brighten or drain a room. It sounds so ridiculous to me, but my mood literally affects everyone around me. The stress and pressure of always being in a good mood and positive can be exhausting. In fact, it’s literally impossible to always be in a good mood and positive. That’s what I’ve said for the majority of my life until recently when I realized that a change of perspective changes EVERYTHING!
As I reflect back on the joy I thought I was feeling when I complained, I realize I was just letting negativity thrive. Recently, every time I started to complain or think negatively about a situation, I said “I’m Grateful. Life Is Good. It Could Be Worse.” That was the best day of my life and great things just started happening. I got a huge check in the mail, met amazing people, and was smiling even when I should’ve been crying. It was incredible, but it wasn’t easy. It’s hard to retrain your mind to focus on positivity when you’ve been negative all your life, but not impossible.
They say it takes 3o days to form a habit. So for the next 30 days, whenever I feel negative or an urge to complain, I’ll just say, “”I’m Grateful. Life Is Good. It Could Be Worse.” Will you try it with me?
